S Piety St Project Update

Important Update: S. Piety Street Project

Street Project Update – South Piety Work Starting Monday

After further discussions with the engineer and contractor, the work on S Piety needs to start at Hwy 10 and move south before work can begin on Strickland. We know this adjustment is different from what was shared earlier, and we appreciate the community’s patience as crews complete these important improvements.

Where: S. Piety Street from Hwy 10 to Strickland Street
When: Beginning Monday, crews will start milling the road and installing utilities.

Here’s what to expect:
• Starting Monday morning, S. Piety will be closed from Hwy 10 to Strickland.
• Hines Street residents will continue to have access to their homes until crews begin work at the Hines/Piety intersection. Temporary closures will occur to connect utilities, but access will be restored as quickly as possible.
• English Lutheran Church will have access until pipe work begins. Temporary access will be maintained after utilities are installed.
• Temporary water service will be set up for nearby homes on Tuesday.
• Work will move from Hwy 10 south to Hines, completing all pipe work there before continuing south to Strickland, then west on Strickland to S. Grant.
• S. Grant Street and Woodworth will remain open until construction progresses to that area, which may not occur this year.

Traffic control signs will be delivered this weekend and set in place on Monday morning when closures begin.

We appreciate your patience as we move forward with these important infrastructure improvements. Please watch for construction crews and follow posted detours.
